Short Form: COP in Brazil
The 2025 UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) will be held in Belém, Brazil. Due to increasing awareness surrounding the threats to our environment and demand for action from global powers, this conference increases in relevance yearly.
Located in the Amazon region of Brazil, Belém allows for a powerful message to be conveyed regarding the urgent need to protect rainforests and biodiversity.
COP30 is expected to accelerate climate finance commitments and reinforce the role of indigenous communities in climate solutions. It will also allow for Brazil to demonstrate its efforts regarding multiple environmental matters.
The conference may also inspire stronger action towards the global move to net-zero and the safeguarding of many vital but, sadly, threatened eco-systems across the world.
